日本国では地震･津波･台風･暴風雨･洪水･内水氾濫･真夏日･雪害･山林火災等の自然災害から原発事故等の複合災害まで実にさまざまの災害に悩まされてきました。REAVO JAPANではグローバルな水準に準拠して総合的な国民保護の観点から災害を総合科学として常に学び続けます。
特に災害ボランティアが被災地で役立つためには生存技術とプロの災害対応組織が訓練している災害マネージメントの知識や技術を知っておく事が大切です。
Japan as a nation is a disaster prone country. Earthquake, Tsunami Typhoon, Flood, Heavy Snow and Nuclear Disaster, you name it. One of our goals is to ensure that the most vulnerable and at-risk groups in Japan are safe and have their basic needs taken care of in case of any given disasters. Fighting Inequality due to Language Barrier & Aging in Disasters
日本に在住されている外国人や外国人を親に持ち国内で育った方々は日本語が不自由であったり日本の生活環境に不慣れであったり、多くの日本人なら慣れ親しんでいる災害を知らなかったり災害を表す言葉を知らずに命に係わる体験をされたりすることが多いためREAVOJAPANでは高齢者の同等に災害時要援護者と位置づけています。また高齢者の方々に語り掛けるときも「やさしい日本語」に近い話し方をする事もあり、これも含めて「多言語」と位置付けています。
One of our main causes here at REAVO JAPAN is Fighting Inequality due to Language Barrier and Aging in case of natural and manmade disasters, issues that touches many lives, particularly those in Japan. 非常通信･アマチュア無線
Amateur Radio Operation & Emergency Radio Communications (V/UHF Transceivers)
地震のお見舞いで電話回線がこみ合ってパンクしたり、台風による被害で携帯電話の基地局が止まってお家の電話や携帯電話が使えない事例が報告されています。救急車を呼ぼうにも電話がつながらないと助かる命も救われません。
非常通信とは「地震･津波･火災･洪水･暴動」など非常事態が実際に発生している時や、これから発生しそうな状況下で、みなさんがお持ちの電話等の「有線通信」を利用することがとても難しい時に「人命救助･災害救援･交通通信の確保･秩序の維持」のために行われる特別な通信で電波法第52条第4号で定められています。 アマチュア無線の免許を取って「アマチュア無線技士」になると普段は許可されている「通信の目的･通信の相手方･通信事項の範囲」を超えて非常通信をすることが法律で許可されています。
小学生でも合格するアマチュア無線講習会を受けて是非一緒に通信の技術を磨いて災害や非常事態にそなえましょう！

In times of crisis and natural disasters, amateur radio is often used as a means of emergency communication when wire line, cell phones and other conventional means of communications fail. Unlike commercial systems, Amateur radio is usually independent of terrestrial facilities that can fail. It is dispersed throughout a community without "choke points" such as cellular telephone sites that can be overloaded. Amateur radio operators are experienced in improvising antennas and power sources and most equipment today can be powered by an automobile battery. Acquisition of amateur radio operator license is so easy that even elementary school pupils can get one. We will assist you to get the license as well.

災害時は多数の被災者が出ます。被災者の多くは倒壊した家屋で軽いけがをしたり、なかには命に係わるけがを負ったりします。下水管が壊れると感染症の危険性も出てきます。
災害ボランティア自身も被災者としてのリスクを持つだけでなく活動中にガレキでけがをしたり、真夏なら熱中症、真冬なら低体温症に加えて感染症やストレス障害の危険性もあります。
この状況で消防は火災対応や重篤患者の搬送に忙しく、ガレキで道路啓開が不可能だと救急車も来られない状況が考えられます。
そこで一般市民に許可されている範囲での「市民向け病院前救護」や「家庭看護」の力が威力を発揮します。具体的には日本赤十字社の救急法を基礎レベルとして災害特有の疾患についてなど進んだ知識も学んでいきます。
